What to Expect
The small terminal at Kilimanjaro Airport (code: JRO) has been recently renovated. Parts of the terminal are open to the outdoors, so expect mosquitoes. Shops and eateries are located both inside and outside the terminal. Some reviews suggest waiting till close to your boarding time to pass through security, as the boarding area is small. Airport Transportation: Getting To/From The Airport
A reader mentioned that a taxi to Moshi/Arusha will cost approximately $US 50.00 each way. As a cheaper alternative (if you are travelling light), they also mentioned a bus (dalla dalla) to the KIA Bus Stop and from there a moto taxi to the airport area, all for approximately TSH 5,000.
