"If you buy a ticket on the "International Express" between Bamako and Abidjan, beware that no one tells you that there is a stop involved at the border. Once you arrive at the border, no one tells you how long the stop is. Mine turned out to be 12 hours! Of course the only place to sleep is on a dirty plastic mat on the filthy dirt floor of the terminal. It's miserable and the only saving grace is that you'll probably make some friends while you're waiting for an "unspecified" period."
