"I just want to warn anyone wanting to sleep in this airport to SERIOUSLY re-think their decision! I was forced by my tour company to arrive at this airport nearly five hours before my flight back to Italy took off. It was a rough five hours! This is the DIRTIEST airport I have ever seen. In the woman's washroom the stall doors didn't close, there was no hot water, there was no soap and there was no toilet paper. Cleaners were in the woman's washroom "cleaning" the floor by pouring gallons of water all over, until the water was about two inches deep, and then sloooowly mopping it up. It was DISGUSTING, especially because everyone was wearing sandals! I saw several bugs in the bathroom as well. The airport has little seating and no non-smoking sections. There are some fast-food restaurants but everything is VERY expensive. Security is lax: I set off the metal detectors because I had my MP3 player in my pocket, and security waved me through onto my flight without checking to see why I had set off the alarms. The next week there was a bombing in Dahab, and if airport security is indicative of national security I know why!YOUR HEALTH AND SAFETY ARE AT RISK AT THIS AIRPORT!"
