"I recommend setting yourself up beside the monks area by the door. It is more quiet and calm, and who is going to rob you when you are sleeping beside a monk?"- ?

"For those not wanting to stay in Bangkok at all before continuing on to the north of Thailand, it is possible to stay in the Bangkok Northern Bus Terminal and catch the first bus north in the morning. There are local buses from the airport that cost about 2.5 baht (in 2000). You have to switch buses once, but the people on the bus were very helpful. We even found an English teacher who helped us immensely. Once you get to the Northern Bus Terminal, it is a great place to sleep. There is a 24 hour 7-eleven, lots of street food outside, and security guards. The chairs move and you can rearrange to make yourself comfortable. I recommend setting yourself up beside the monks area by the door. It is more quiet and calm, and who is going to rob you when you are sleeping beside a monk?"
