"For those who appreciate "Soviet Stalinesque" architecture and fresh pot stickers, this is the place to be. If you're a non-Chinese citizen or Overseas "Compatriot" (Chinese) you have the privilege of waiting in the international passengers lounge located at the far end of the station. The leather "Lazy Boy" chairs were the best I ever slept in while waiting for a train to Tianjin. The lounge was lightly lit and quiet from the masses waiting at the lounge next door. Everything was okay until janitors started to mop the floor with water and kerosine. I was told by a fellow passenger that kerosene was used to keep the floor shiny. The fumes were enough to wake up the dead. Nevertheless the train station staff were friendly and the pot stickers were the best I'd ever had!! "
