Very new terminal. Arrived at the airport about 2 hours before check-in desks opened. Several other people sleeping/nodding on seats -- some seats are without arms in the departure hall. Quiet in the early morning, easy to catch a few zzzs. More good seating near the gates, with tv to pass the time.
Only downside, my taxi driver into town ignored the posted rate. Long ride from the airport into downtown Chongqing. Unless you speak the language have someone write out the address you're going to in Chinese. But my taxi driver back to the airport was prompt and courteous.
