"My girlfriend and I caught the 5pm Train from Bangkok Central Station all the way down to Chumpon to catch a ferry over to Koh Tao Island. We left at 5pm and arrived in chumpon around 1 am (we had 8 hours till our bus to the ferry at 9am). The station was well lit, warm (of course because of the area), had some sort of multi-tasking shop which had things such as meagre food, cigerettes, and groceries which was much appreciated. Many locals seemed to use this place as a good place to catch some Z's whilst waiting. Me being with a girlfriend who doesnt do open air places for too long whilst mosquitoes buzzing around opted to walk 5 minutes into the main town, wake up the girl asleep on a couch at the local 24 hour hotel and slapped 300 Baht on the counter to use the room for the night. A hot shower, fashion TV, and a made bed made for a nice 8 hour stop over."
