To help you plan your layover or overnight sleepover, we are here to give you the low-down on what travellers have reported back to us during their time at Francisco Bangoy International Airport.

What to Expect

  • A spacious and modern single-terminal international airport with clean and simple facilities and friendly airport staff. A wide variety of interesting shops and food concessions is available, mostly landside. Most reviewers describe this airport as the best in the Phillippines.
  • Plenty of comfortable seating available!
  • Despite the high volume of travellers, airport procedures are organized and efficient.
  • Power outlets are not located in areas that are convenient to the waiting area.

Where to Sleep

  • Although the seating is considered comfortable by many of our reviewers, the seats are made of aluminum and have armrests, so you’ll have to sleep sitting up. Have a travel blanket handy, as the air-conditioning keeps the air frigid inside the terminal!
  • For uninterrupted sleep, there are hotels near the airport. See Airport Hotels in the airport guide below.

Good to Know

  • Economy class passengers can pay to enter the airport’s first class lounge. See our Airport Lounges section for locations and rates.

Airport Transportation: Getting To/From The Airport

Car Rental

Several car rental agencies serve Davao Airport. Contact your service provider of choice for rates and reservations.

Jeepney

Travel like the locals do! If you’re traveling light and want to save a little money, you can catch a jeepney along the highway, about a 5 - 10 minute walk from the airport terminal. Jeepneys run 24 hours a day. Before you hop in, make sure the jeepney you catch is going to your destination!

Taxis

Metered taxis are readily available for hire in the ground transportation area of the airport. Few taxis accept credit or debit cards, so have cash ready if possible.
