"I spent three months sleeping in the bombed out airport of Kandahar" (?)

"I spent three months sleeping in the bombed out airport of Kandahar Afghanistan, I was working as a photojournalist covering the war in Afghanistan and the military set up camp there. So following the military I slept on the floor of the terminal complete with bombed out windows, no electricity, heat, etc... for three months. To add to the fun the military was flying only at night so all night long was the roar of aircraft right out the blown out windows!!!"
