I learned from a local that the terminal building has been there for decades (70's) when only one small plane travelling there daily, but now there are at least 4 to 5 big planes travels there daily. - Gerry

Airport Overview

puerto princesa airport

To help you plan your layover or overnight sleepover, we are here to give you the low-down on what travellers have reported back to us during their time at Puerto Princesa International Airport.

What to Expect

  • A small and outdated single-terminal international airport, with very limited shopping and dining options.
The airport is busy and crowded, and can feel extremely hot inside due to the lack of air-conditioning. Bring water, dress in layers that you can remove if you get too hot and have a hat or something to provide shade, in case you have to wait in a line outside of the terminal.

Where to Sleep

  • Due to the unpleasant conditions and close proximity to the city center, our reviewers opted not to spend the night in this airport. As of August 2016, we have no reviews from travelers who have spent the night in this airport. Write a Review to help future travellers!
  • For uninterrupted sleep, there are hotels near the airport. See Airport Hotels in the airport guide below.
