I arrived here, on my first ever trip out of the US. Security/ customs was friendly and very quick. On departure back to the US my plane was delayed and the wait was a bit long. The Departure lounge was very crowded, but there were enough seats, no possibility of being able to sleep though, due to few seats to stretch out in and the noisy passengers all talking. The airport itself was small but clean enough. Bathrooms were fine. There were a few shops to browse in while waiting. Really not a bad experience at all.

"I travelled around Central America with my family for several days, and our main 'stay' was in Belize. As a group we had gotten quite familiar with navigating the Belize airport as things are not well marked and people were somewhat unfriendly when asking for directions. I attend school in Ohio while the rest of my family lives in Texas therefore I ended up on a different flight from them back to the states. I had to take a puddle jumper from a island to Belize City and upon trying to walk into the main airport to check in I was repeatedly harassed by men until I actually got in the check out line. Apparently I am an easy target since I am blonde hair, blue eyes and in my early 20's! Once I got past security(which was a breeze!), I was hours early for my flight. Luckily, no other flights were departing for several hours and there were few people in the terminal. I was minding my own business, reading a book, when some strange man came up and started talking to me. I politely said hello and started to ignore him. He proceeded to stand RIGHT in front of me for a good half and hour and tell me I look very lonely and a woman like me shouldn't be alone in a foreign country. He then started making rude(sexual) comments about the way I look and how he wanted to sit and talk with me until I left (I wouldn't move my bag). I continued to ignore him and this went on until I went into a duty free shop and hung out for awhile. I came back out once the terminal started to fill up but the guy found me AGAIN! He kept making the same comments towards me about looking lonely and how pretty I was until I hid out in the (dirty) bathrooms until my flight boarded. Never saw one security official the entire time I was behind security."
