"with only a handful of flights flying in and out of easter island the airport closes at night. you're not going to be able to sleep here. coming in to the airport look out for the sign that says "welcome to eastern island". there are lots of hotel owners waiting to hire you a room on the island. the airport is a 15min walk from the town so you could walk it if you want. going out there is a bar and lots of shops ready to sell you stone heads, postcards and T-shirts. the toilets can run out of paper.this airport was built by nasa and has a massive runway."
