bergamo airport guide

In this section you will find traveller airport reviews as well as our Bergamo Airport Guide with info on WiFi, lounges, facilities and services....and yes, even the names of some airport hotels in case you decide that sleeping in the airport is not for you!

The security staff will not let you sleep, they will kick you to arrival area, then in two hours to departure area and in another hours they keep running around you to wake u up. Horrible. Only one working electric outlet in whole airport. Did I mention toilets ? Horror! You will not believe this until you check it on your own. -mandela

September 2015 - This is not my first experience in Bergamo Airport but I definitely hope it's going to be the last one. I confirm what who came before me stated in their review: gates close around 10pm so if you come later that that you're gonna be stuck in the arrival zone, the only area that stays open. The only benches there are the typical metal ones and the only plugs you can find in that area are located in the 24h bar and in the bathrooms. As you can expect the location is pretty crouded, so it's better to claim your chair or place your sleeping bag pretty fast if you want to sleep a few hours. Around 3am they're opening again so the guards come to wake everybody up and urge to move. At 4am the gates open again and you can finally (if you didn't manage it before) pass security and move to a slightly more comfortable area where floors are wooden and there are some plugs hidden in the corners. But still, I got woken up by security again at 5:45am because after half past five you need to pack your mattress and sleeping bag again because of the heavy flow of people. Time to switch to a metal chair, wait for my flight and hope not to have to sleep here again in the future.
