Good times

"Was in Bologna, thought my accommodation lasted until the day i left, turns out it finished two days before. So with only twenty euros left i got a train ride to the airport, 12 euro (!), and prepared for two nights at the airport.
At about 12.30 there was no one about, bar a security guard who informed me that the airport closed at night!!
Ok, decided to just sleep outside the airport, settled down, half an hour later and army van pulls up and they throw me out of the grounds! I spent the next two days in a state of perpetual boredom, i sat in the airport from 7.30am to 12 at night then slept in a nearby park at night.
The only exciting thing was that on the last day the police pulled up whilst i was sitting by the road reading. They asked me for identification, rang the police station giving them all my passport details, then started quizzing me about what i was doing. In my broken italian i told them i was waiting for a plane, then they asked me if i was a drug dealer (?! cos id tell them if i were!). Apparently they'd seen me about the past few days and thought I was a drug dealer!
Forli is a crap airport to stay at and def my worst experience... so far...!"

Not a bad place, but not great either
by Joelle
"After our flight home being cancelled, and booking another for 8am the next day, we figured sleeping in the airport and spending what we would have on a hotel on a pizza feast would be the best plan. And as a first airport sleeping experience Bologna ain' t bad. The plastic seats were not comfortable for lying in, but after investigating the check in conveyors and the hard floor we discovered four padded wheelchairs with footrests that reclined almost flat. Quite luxurious. The airport was nice and warm, and pretty deserted. All we had to contend with was bright lighting and constant piped bad euro pop music. And it felt pretty safe, if unnerving when an armed security guard sat and kept watch over us for a few hours!"
Um, you may want to rethink sleeping in this place

"Do not try to sleep here under any circumstances. If your that hard up in Bologna, the central Train Station is dodgy, but a lot better, aghhh."
