""I was out of money and instead of paying for a
45minute bus journey and returning to a vacant flat I had just
moved into I decided I would wait for the next flight in the
morning by staying the night at the airport. I couldn't check in
a suitcase which was empty (which was be refilled in the
destination country for the return journey) until then so I had
to keep it around me.
While buying a drink I left the suitcase aside a table, while
still in sight, as it was too big to carry with a cup and
saucer. As I went towards it with the coffee a porter came
towards me repeating that I was not to leave the
luggage/suitcase aside. I apologised and said ok, yes, but he
was very repetitive. I said ok a fourth time. About two minutes
later a gard with the full kit came over to me and asked me a
load of questions, which I answered. I explained why I had
decided to stay the night which I was told at the ticket office
would be ok, but that security would be called to me, just to
see that 'i'm o'k'. I was advised to return home, which I
responded that I felt more comfortable staying at the airport. I
found myself having to repetitively answer comments already
spoken from repetitive questions. And of course the guard said I
appeared nervous, and a bit upset, which I thought maybe I
should agree to, which I did, but in reality I felt harassed and
uneasy by this questioning while trying to be friendly, casual,
polite, smiley etc."
