Chamonix Train Station
Lasting Impressions....
"A sleeping matt is essential, and a sleeping bag is useful. We also had a stove and some food to cook, which was allowed inside the station."

A few airport reviews from the archives
by Snowjest
"I was travelling from La sud de France to good Old Blighty, but decided to go via the alps. I ended up in chamonix, thankfully in the middle of August, but still not warm at night. All the hotels were full, or at least the ones that I tried, then I spot a half built chalet. Roof over my ed, and when it starts to rain, cushtie! Or at least till the dogs come. I hear them barking as somebody rattles the gates to the site, I freeze, fearing the slobbering attack of rabid hounds. Then, the dogs (and presumably their handler) depart. They've not opened the gates, and my cosy spot is safe. Somehow I sleep, and when I wake-up, I wake to the most magnificent moutain view. Sweet"
so, just how bad is this station?
