"I too have an interesting story about the Florence, Italy train station. In the SUmmer of 2000, me and two other friends spent two nights in Florence. The first night we had a room, the second we stayed in the train station. BAD idea. The station itself is the most dirty, disgusting place on earth, literally. Once we had finally managed to get to sleep, an attendant came and woke us up at 1 AM. He told us we needed to leave so they could "clean" the place with a large riding scrubbing washer thing. We went outside and found an entrance to an underground shopping mall and stayed at the bottom of the large staircase at its entrance. This was on the same level of cleanliness as the station itself. At 4AM we were allowed back in the station where we tried our best to sleep but couldn't really. The Florence train station deserves more than one of your skull and crossbones pictures!!"
