I was locked inside the airport! The doors were closed, the lights were shut and I slept well (because I didn't even realize that I was all alone until the early morning). -P

I woke up every 10 minutes, when the clean machine passed by - for about 2 hours... Then, I was locked inside the airport! The doors were closed, the lights were shut and I slept well (because I didn't even realize that I was all alone until the early morning). Seems like nobody could see me (right at the entrance of the viewing platforms (sea-view!)) and so they just left me sleeping in the lonely airport. It was a very good sleep :-)

"My husband and I recently returned from Italy to the U.S. after a Mediterranean cruise. We had an early morning flight from Genoa to Heathrow, so we decided to save on a hotel bill, taxi to airport, etc. and sleep in the Genoa airport.
The seats were regular airline type with arms, so they were not very comfortable. However, at about 1 a.m. we were woken and practically arrested by the airport police! Our passports were taken away, and we were told that since it was cold outside we would be allowed to stay in the airport, which CLOSED from 12.30 am. to 5 a.m. We were also told not to let anyone in since the doors would only open from inside.
By this time the airport was deserted, cold and very erie. Eventually our passports were returned to us, and since this is a very small airport we were in full view when the doors opened at 5 a.m. to let in the early morning passengers. Lesson here: don't try to sleep in the Genoa Airport. "
