What to Expect

gibraltar airport guideGibraltar Airport (code: GIB) consists of a small single-terminal. Due to its size, the airport offers passengers with a limited variety of shops and restaurants. There is, however, free WiFi to help pass the time! For economy class passengers looking for additional comfort, there is the option to pay for access to the airport’s lounge. More Services, Facilities & Things To Do On A Layover

ATMs / Cash Machines – Need cash? ATMs are available. The machines dispense Sterling and Euro notes. Fees may apply, so be sure to check your bank’s fee schedule and your daily withdrawal limit if you are travelling internationally. You may also want to notify your bank of your travel plans. Locations: Landside, next to the Airport Information Desk in Arrivals • Airside, next to the Calpe Lounge, in the main Departures lounge.

Duty Free & Shopping – Gibraltar Duty Free Shop offers duty-free shopping landside and airside. In addition, you’ll find a few fashion boutiques and a WHSmith newsstand airside, and a gift shop located landside.

Food & Drinks – At the time of this update there were no 24-hours concessions. Food options are limited to Victoria Lounge (landside) and 36° North Restaurant & Bar (airside).

Information Desk – Have any questions? There is an information desk to help! Location: Concourse Area, Ground Floor.

Luggage Storage & Lockers – Luggage storage is available at a rate of £3.00 – £6.00 per day, per piece of luggage, depending on the size. Visit the Airport Information Desk for assistance. Hours: unknown. Note: due to operational reasons the service may not be available at all times of the day, it is best to call the airport information desk first.

Mobile Charging – You can find free charging units next to gates 1, 2 and 3.

Observation Decks – Relax and watch planes taking off and landing from the vantage point of the airport’s observation deck. Location: Landside and Airside. The entrance to the landside terrace is located to the right of the arrivals area, next to Victoria Lounge.

Postal Services – Drop off your last minute postcards at the airport’s mailbox. Location: Landside, opposite the main check-in area, next to the airline information desks.

Prayer Room – A multi-faith prayer room is available for prayer and meditation. Location: Airside, main departure area.

Showers – Not available.

WiFi/Internet – Free WiFi is available at Gibraltar Airport . Connect to the “GIB_PUBLIC” network.

Taxis

Taxis are available at taxi stands located outside of the terminal. A taxi stand is also located to the right of the border exit at CA-34/N-351 Av Principe de Asturias, for those travelling into Spain. All taxis are metered, and reservations are not required.
