"Arrived in Kiruna at 10pm with a 6am departure to Umea and Stockholm. There is no bus from the city to the airport for the 6am departures (but there is one for the one at 1pm) and a taxi at this time of the day is 300SEK (40).
Getting to the airport in the evening is a bit complicated, but there is a way: Take a city Bus (line 1) heading for Tuolluvalla (last departure around 23.30 I think). Get off at the last stop and turn right and walk straight ahead for approximately 2km and you reach the terminal.
I sat down for a rest in the departure part and at 11.30 an airport official told me he was going to close the airport now. However, he directed me to the arrivals hall and next to the baggage carousel there was a nice and soft bench where I could rest. He locked the door from outside, but I could still have left the building (though I would not have been able to come in again) and told me not to leave the arrivals hall as there would be an alarm as soon as I'd enter the departure area.
Stayed at the bench for the night and actually slept very well."
