"I had an overnight layover in Ljubljana on my way from Athens to Frankfurt, Germany because that particular flight was by far the cheapest I could find. The airport was extended in 2007 and the new terminals are very clean and have seat-benches 5 seats long (with maybe 10 cm between each individual seat) without armrests, so sleeping on one was quite easy. I was there from about 23:00 on a Sunday night until 08:00 the next morning, and no staff ever approached me or asked me to move (which I had been nervous about after reading some older reviews on this site). Announcements got a bit obnoxious when flights started up again in the morning, but that wasn't surprising. This would've been closer to a 5-star airport sleeping experience had I been more prepared and brought a pillow/blanket (there's always next time). In short, LJU seems a great place to sleep for travelers with long layovers and tight budgets.
