"If you want to spend the next day in Paris and have an Inter-rail or Eurail, there's a train leaving Paris at 11 PM for Lyon, arriving about 5 am. Getting a TGV back to Paris takes only 2 hours. At Lyon (not sure if it's Perrache or Part-Dieu - it's the one furthest away from Paris) above the platforms there's a bridge with huge glass windows on one (both? sides) and heating vents in the floor. If you can sleep sitting rather than lying down with you backpack between you and the wall, the staff don't mind, and it's nice and warm."
