What to Expect

Opened in January 2019, the modest terminal at Murcia Airport (code: MJV) primarily handles seasonal flights from Northern Europe. Current facilities are very limited, with just a Costa Coffee in operation. Free WiFi helps pass the time.

Free unlimited WiFi is available at Murcia – San Javier Airport. Connect to the “Airport Free Wifi AENA” network.

ATMs / Cash Machines – Need cash? ATMs are available. Fees may apply, so be sure to check your bank’s fee schedule and your daily withdrawal limit if you are travelling internationally. You may also want to notify your bank of your travel plans. Locations: Landside, Floor 0, Check-in Hall • Landside, Floor 0, Arrivals Hall.

Duty Free & Shopping – Murcia Duty-Free is located in Departures (airside). The other options are the Iberica Shop which sells gourmet Spanish produce and delicacies Location: Departures (airside) Hours: vary depending on the season. A shoe store and a jewelry shop are the other airport shopping options (Airside).

Food & Drinks – At the time of this update there are no 24-hour food options in the airport. During flight operation hours, you will find Restaurants and Cafes available in the public area, Departures (landside), and Departures (airside). Note that some of the food concessions close during the winter months. Plan ahead.

Information Desk – If you have any questions, visit the airport information desk for assistance! Location: Check-In hall, Floor 0.

Luggage Trolleys – Need a hand with your bags? Baggage carts are available.

Luggage Storage & Lockers – Not available.

Medical Services – If you feel unwell or injure yourself, first aid services are available.

Metered taxis are readily available at the airport during airport hours of operation. At the time of this update, the estimated one-way fare between the airport and Murcia is €29. Please note, the fare rate increases during nighttime hours from 10:00PM – 7:00AM.
