We were in Odessa in February 2010 and hadnt planned to sleep at the railway station, but our bus was cancelled and we had to wait there till the morning. Station is quite good to spend the night at. Waiting-room is paid (not much - about 50 cents), so there arent any beggars or homeless people. Its clean and not very noisy, staff and police look after all over the place and passengers during the night. Lights are partly turn off after midnight. Big disadvantage is that benches are hard and uncomfortable. We didnt have sleeping pads so I dont know if sleeping on the floor is possible.
