"I don't know if this can be included, but I slept in the ferry terminal in Palma, Mallorca, Balearic Islands in August 1999. It was absolutely freezing - the air conditioning was still on full blast, but because the doors weren't continually opening and closing and therefore letting heat in, it was like sitting in a fridge. I tried to sleep outside where it was warm, but there was a group of Spanish kids playing their car stereos all night. I did eventually get to sleep after they had gone, but about an hour later got woken up by a policeman. He apologized when he realised I was female - always an advantage in Spain I think. It's not a recommended place to sleep"
