"I ended up spending a night at the train station in Pamplona, Spain last summer (7-17-98) during the Festival of San Fermin (running of the bulls), and it was one of the most sleepless nights I've ever had. While it is somewhat quiet after the last train arrives at 1:00am, it is very very dangerous. Be sure to lock your bags up and don't sleep alone if you have to spend a night here. Better yet, go find a quiet piece of grass in the public park in town to spend the night. And be prepared to defend your stuff from the groups of thieves that come to Pamplona every year specifically to steal from those who have chosen to sleep out."
