"My buddy and I thought that we could get a late night train into Poland but when we arrived we discovered that wed have to wait until the morning. There are benches in the main hall to sleep on but they are not the greatest. They have ridged wooden panels and definitely require a sleeping pad or something to make them comfortable. The floor wasnt the cleanest, and I wasnt comfortable setting down to sleep on it. There are many homeless men wandering about all the bus stations of Slovakia at night. I really think they are harmless, but you never know. Some of them had sleeping in uncomfortable places down to a science though. I never found the bathrooms. I think they are locked up over night. I noted several men who went outside to urinate in between the bushes and a small building near the tracks, which is what I did. There were policeman in the station all night walking back and forth and they never bothered us once and they WERE paying attention to who was doing what, so I felt somewhat safe. There is a small concession in the station but I didnt opt for it. On the east side of the station there is a huge parking lot and then a major grocery store where you can get anything you want. If for nothing else, you should visit this bus station for its quirky architecture and the outstanding view of the Tatras! This station was also the site of the first deportation of Jewish Girls to one of Hitlers death camps (there is a plaque) in Poland. Great access to the Tatras from here on the Electricna. Sleep in Spissky Svoboda, not in this Bus Station!!!"
