What to Expect

samara airport guideThe modern Terminal A at Samara Airport (code: KUF) handles all commercial service, though a second terminal may be under construction. A smaller VIP terminal caters to private business flights. Amenities include several shops and eateries, all of which are open 24 hours. Free WiFi helps pass the time. Economy class passengers can pay to enter two airport lounges (both have showers for freshening up!). See Airport Lounges in the guide below for location and access information.

Sleeping in Samara Airport

More Services, Facilities & Things To Do On A Layover

ATMs / Cash Machines – Need cash? ATMs are available. Fees may apply, so be sure to check your bank’s fee schedule and your daily withdrawal limit if you are travelling internationally. You may also want to notify your bank of your travel plans. Locations: Ground Floor.

Baby Care Facilities – A kitchenette, nursing chairs, TV lounge, play area, changing tables, washing and drying rack, and more are available in the Baby Care Room. This room is accessible to adult travelers with children aged 7 and under and and mobility-impaired children who are aged 14 and under. Entry is free, but a passport, flight ticket, and medical clearance certificate (granted by the Medical Station) is required for access to the facility. Location: 3rd Floor, landside. Hours: Unknown.

Currency Exchange – Foreign currency services can be found on the Ground Level, near International Departure Gates.

Duty Free & Shopping – Heinemann Duty Free is available (2 locations) as well as a small selection of shops selling jewelry and accessories. A convenience shop selling magazines, snacks and drinks is available Landside. All shops are open 24 hours.

Food & Drinks – All restaurants and coffee shops are open 24 hours. Luggage Storage & Lockers – Left luggage can be found on the lower level of the main terminal. Rates: unknown. Hours: unknown.

Luggage Wrapping – Protect your bags from theft and damage by having your bags wrapped in plastic. Location: 1st Floor. Rates: 500 RUB/regular size bag • 600 RUB/oversized bag.

Medical Services – If you feel unwell or injure yourself, a medical center can be found on the 1st Floor. Hours: unknown.

Airport Transportation: Getting To/From The Airport

Buses

The airport is connected to Samara and Togliatti via 4 different bus routes. The total trip time is a minimum of 1 hour and rates range from 28 RUB to 160 RUB. For schedules and more information,  visit the Samara Airport website.

Train

The airport is connected to the Aeroexpress Train system (Kurumoch Express) via a shuttle bus which you can catch to the left of the front entrance to the airport. The shuttle bus ride takes approximately 4-10 minutes depending on traffic. For train fare, routes and scheduled, visit the Samara Airport website.
