Sofia Train Station

Traveller Comments....

"there are lot of "friendly people" offering to help you carry your baggage," (?)

I arrived at about 4:00 on an overnight bus from Macedonia (bus station is right next to train station) and was planning on leaving on a 6:00 train, so thought I would try to sleep for a few hours. I was very disappointed to see that the station was closed (probably to keep out people like me!) until 5:00. There was one 24 hour cafe, but I ended up just sitting on my backpack outside the station until the doors opened. They finally opened the doors just as it started raining and I was able to go inside and snooze for an hour before my train. The only bright side- all of Bulgaria's train stations have free wifi.
