"After taking the night ferry from Stockholm and getting very little sleep (surprise surprise!), a friend and I found ourselves in Turku for an entire day, waiting for the night train up to Rovaniemi. Since sleeping in the train station seemed nigh impossible (very little seating-but they do have plenty of large luggage lockers for hire), we ventured out--and found a lovely park right across the road. Nice for a nap (until it started to rain), but since the train station is very short on amenities, I spent most of the afternoon in a hotel cafe downtown (free bathrooms!). The train itself provided a wonderful night's sleep, despite stops and announcements. Comfy bunks & acceptable toilets-not as posh as Sweden's X2000, but at least the Finnish one didn't break down twice!"
