"We were travelling from Munich aby train and then onto Switzerland for a brief stopover and managed to miss our connecting train from Zurich to Milan to start our Italian leg so therefore found ourselves stuck in the most expensive place in Europe on a hefty budget with no out for a nights accommodation.
The toilets (& showers) in the station were really expensive so the night ahead was looking worryingly expensive regardless of what we did.
We sat on a few benches near the waiting rooms after they closed around 9pm and found quite a few other travellers in the same predicament.
There were quite a few security guys around and i think a few felt sorry for us and managed to net a set of keys to the closed waiting rooms. They let all of us in (about 20 strangers by this stage) and told us we camp in there and come and go as we please as long as we locked the door so no others could come in.
So pushing the chairs to the sides we all bedded down for the evening and they even switched off the lights for us. And low and behold the room had its own private....FREE...bathroom.
