The Airport Challenge

Ok, here's something fun I thought we could all try....the Airport Challenge.  What exactly is the airport challenge,  you ask?  First off, it's the perfect opportunity for anyone who hasn't slept in the airport to give it a try.  Consider it a practice run for your NEXT real trip.  What better than your very own "home" airport.  The Airport Challenge will be open to anyone anywhere.  A "host" will arrange a date and organize a group (via this web site) for an overnight stay at the airport in their hometown.  Once you notify us of your interest, we will advise you privately of the date when the camp out will take place.  On the scheduled day, you make your way to the airport to meet your fellow participants.

Requirements:

  • The challenge is to have as many people as possible join your group WITHOUT getting kicked out of the airport
  • The group must stay in the airport between 10:00 PM and 8:00 AM.
  • It is recommended to bring a suitcase (even if it's empty to give the impression that you REALLY need to stay in the airport and that you are not a homeless person)
  • Each participant is requested to write a summary of their experience to be added to this web site

Participants are not required to stay with the group.  They can leave the group independently to find a more comfortable and quiet (and inventive) spot in the airport to get some sleep.  Otherwise, it could just be a fun night out at the airport consisting of dancing, games of twister, ordering in Pizza, etc.  Good behaviour is a MUST, otherwise the airport officials will kick you (and the group) out!
