Small and noisy

by tkv (March, 2013)

Where: Landside and Airside
Pros: Walking distance from the city centre
Cons: Small, hot

I didn't sleep there, just passed through. Airport is very small, but it is in the middle of the city and I actually walked there with my backpack. There was no A/C, only fans around the places, so it was very warm. Airport was crowded, lots of people in a small area. Airside had a cafe, but nothing else. Toilets were ok. I wouldn't stay there overnight, especially when the city is so close and you can find quite cheap accommodation there.

Worst Airport

The worst airport for me. The arrival area is in the open outside the terminal building with only a metal sheet for a roof, and that is extremely hot considering this is a tropical country. The terminal building is only for departing passengers but its too small so passengers are queueing outside the terminal exposed to sunlight (very hot). But when I get inside the terminal building, I wish I'm outside because the terminal building doesn't have an aircon and its much hotter inside than outside. I learned from a local that the terminal building has been there for decades (70's) when only one small plane travelling there daily, but now there are at least 4 to 5 big planes travels there daily. He says the problem is corruption in the government that's why the terminal has not been fix or replace for so long.

Airport from hell!

This is a review for the airport located in Puerto Princesa City in Palawan (a province in the Philippines). This airport is very old, toilet is non-existence. Inside the airpport for departing passenger is very hot. The arrival area is outside the building and also very hot. I heard from locals that two passengers has been hospitalised and one already died because of extreme heat. If you don't believe me, google "Puerto Princesa City Airport".
