NOT ACTUALLY 'Sleeping in Airports' but it fits.

This is one to lock away for those who are in Jordan transiting and flying out with Royal Jordanian. I found it on this website and thought I would try in my case.

I had a long transit - it ended up being 26 hours due to flight time changes getting out of Delhi and off to Kiev.

On arrival in Amman I talked with the Airline Reps and they said that I could make use of their hotel during my transit. All I did was go to the transit desk, sign in, get my transit ticket, get my bags and walk out through the airport to a waiting minibus. Just keep saying 'transit' and you are right.

We were dropped out the front of The Golden Tulip Hotel, well it isn't 5 star but I wasn't expecting that, but it was very comfortable and FREE! I went and had a shower and organised some laundry to be done.

Then if you are transiting the have a special dining room just for you, at standard meal times which are posted outside the room, you can just go down and have a feed. There is a huge buffet of many and varied meals, salads, hot foods, desserts and teas & coffee. Well you just advise them of your room number and that is it, eat until you are done. The staff are very nice and helpful in all areas.

Each meal has a large variety and being there for all three meal times, each was as good as the other. I would make sure any flights through the Middle East in future are with Royal Jordanian all the way.

Saying that I missed out on seeing Petra, but I was fully recharged for the next leg of my journey, so I thought that would be an OK trade off.

I hope this helps.

Well Done Royal Jordanian!!!
