"I visited Kuwait during May 2006. It is a good airport but not much to do and no place apparently to sleep. I just got my visitor's visa at the airport being an American and went out. It is a small airport but pretty modern and clean. There are workers to put your luggage on the screening machines as you leave the airport or when you check in. Complete service with a smile. Most of the service staff are foreign workers who are probably not paid much. They were very happy to see the tips. The country is pretty small but nice. Just do not visit in summer or if you do not stay outside unless you like being in hell. The beaches are clean until most people use it. I was amazed to see people litter everywhere with no regards to anything. There were garbage disposal units everywhere but I guess no one wants to use them for some reason that I knew. Kuwait is a full service country. Where ever you go you will get full service. Even in McDonalds, you leave your dirty dishes on the tables where smiling wait staff will take them away and clean the table for the next customer. The food is fresh mostly and tasty. I loved the kuwaiti snack food which look like a bread with cheese inside."

very nice airport mall. the starbucks coffee shop is really nice too. after i had a coffee, i went to use the ladies room and found no toilet tissue in the stall. i had to use the recycled, brown starbucks napkin that was in my pocket. afterwards, the toilet didn't flush properly and the brown starbucks napkin got stuck in the toilet. i didn't realize what had happened because i quickly went to wash my hands. (or i would have tried to flush the toilet again). then, one minute after i had left the restroom, a rude filipina restroom attendant came running after me. she was actually shouting in public that i didn't flush the toilet. she insulted me in front of the debenhams department store and called me "dirty". of course i screamed back at her. WTF!
