    RUDE n UNPROFESSIONAL Check-in counter Staff @ T1 JETSTAR
I had an extremely bad experience with a Jetstar check-in counter staff by the name of at changi airport T1 on Tuesday 6th July 2010, flight no JQ110, departing SIN/PERTH at 1745hrs. This is the first bad experience that I have had with Jetstar which has been my preferred airline whenever I travelled to Singapore to visit family n friends. In fact this was my first bad experience at Changi airport where I have received one of the best services from every single staff who crossed my path. Hence I am writing this review so that the relevant authority could investigate the matter and deal with the Jetstar counter staff accordingly. I know that Mr Lee Kuan Yew would not not take the matter lightly if it was brought to his attention because I was brought up under his leadership and know the importance and value of good customer service. A feedback form has been submitted on the day of the inc...

    Best Airport!
Best airport I have been in! Going from LAX to Kathmandu we arrived at 1:00 and left at 8:00. Found a nice place to sleep. Only complaint was that Burger King was the only food until 6:00 and they only had fish or chicken sandwiches. Return we got in at 20:00, checked our carry on for SD3 and caught the train to Clark Quay for SD2. Caught the last boat ride at 22:00, then dinner on the river. Caught a taxi back for SD13 (cheap!)(trains quit running at midnight). Fell asleep watching TV and security woke us up at 3:00 asking for passport and boarding pass. I don't think they do that if you are in the comfy chairs or other places that are sort of out of sight of the main area. Here is the best part...at 7:00am the pool at the transit hotel opens up. We paid SD13 each, went in and swam and showered for an hour before breakfast and catching our plane. You are supposed to get a free drink lik...

Memorable Stay in Plaza Premium Lounge
I have always thought lounges are only for the elite and the untouchables. It came to my surprise that Changi Airport actually has a pay use lounge which is open to everyone, regardless of who you are and where you are coming from. When i was exploring the transit mall of terminal 2,I sighted a Lounge which gives you a feeling that you can actually rest and relax, very cozy, and were drawn when I saw some flashes of big smiles from duty officers at the front counter. As smile is an internationally accepted sign of courtesy and friendliness, i walked in and started to make some queries. I ended up purchasing lots of their facilities such as shower (oh what a nice warm shower to refresh my day!), massage (accupressure massage is always muscle relieving and rejuvenating, and guess what? oxygen therapy!. I thought oxygen therapy is only offered in the States. Plaza Premium Lounge has it. You...

Find Plaza Premium Lounge with 24hours in Singapore Changi Airport Terminal Transit
I had to catch a transfer flight in the Transit Terminal 2 in Singapore Changi Airport for another 5-6 hours in the night. I'm glad I found Plaza Premium lounge as it operate 24hours at 3rd level. They provide cosy lounge for passengers and soothing music with access to free internet, local call, free light refreshment and most important...shower. It's only SGD32,10 for 5hours. I'm so happy to find the lounge because service there at Front desk staffs is excellent. I also got discount rate for Boarding Pass. If not I will moving around or mayb sleeping on one of the benches at that time.

    What an amazing airport ...
Hong Kong airport is pretty hard to beat but Changhi really is fantastic. We travel with three kids and it was amazing - endless entertainment for them, with feeding the kois, butterfly room, play areas, free internet. Bathrooms are immaculate, ticks all the boxes.

Don't book at transit hotel if you have to get your luggage!
I arrived in Singapore around midnight and had a flight to catch hours later at 8 AM. Because it was not a direct connection and I had checked luggage, I had to go through immigration to get my bags in order to recheck them for my next flight. (If I didn't have to get my bags, I could have used transfer counters within the main airport). When I picked up my bags and went to the check-in counters so I could re-check my bags and get my boarding pass, I was told that the check-in counters for Air Asia didn't open until 6 AM. So I spent over 5 hours sitting on uncomfortable plastic chairs with all my luggage struggling to remain awake so I could watch my bags. Long story short, if you have to pick-up checked luggage, you may not be able to reenter the main airport (which is where the good sleeping opportunities are!) depending on when your airline starts check-in. However, if you aren't havi...

  • Singapore - Changi Airport Terminal 1 ..... simmoni December, 2009
    Passable but not Pleasant
Based on others' reviews on this website, I opted to stay at the airport. I arrived at 1 a.m. and it seemed a waste of money to pay for a full nite in a hotel. I was encouraged by the nice looking cushioned seats with no arm rests near the gates. If you sleep at this airport, this is the place to be b/c outside of customs in the check-in areas of Terminal 1 there are no cushy seats and no carpeted floors, at least not that I could find. I tried upstairs by the food court that was oddly crowded with families and very noisy. No chairs up there. I looked around downstairs and all the hard plastic bucket seats in the main check in area were all occupied with people sitting, plus they were in the main corridor. I finally found some hard plastic bucket seats with no arm rests on the far side of the terminal near the Garuda check-in & passage to the train to Terminal 2. It is well ou...

    nice airport, Changi
its one of the best airport i have visited. not only looks nice but also the design of the airport is really thoughtful, like they have prey-room, big sofas, free internet, make-up room, free films and so on. anyway, if you visit the airport, really no need to go to a hostel or hotel, its nice to stay for 7 hours or longer.
