I was an airport-sleeping virgin, so I didn't know what to expect for my first time at Albany International Airport. Overall, it was great. They had an observation deck/exhibition area with artwork all over. There were lots of benches in a very dark room overlooking the planes. We slept in this corner with a conference table and like 8 wonderfully comfortable cushion chairs. The bathroom was right there, it was nice and dark, and the radiator was on so it was warm there. Only problem was the vent with the freaking cold air blowing out of it. Cleaning staff came right on time- 3 in the A.M. No one said anything to us and all the flyers were a floor beneath us. Other than some sporadic noise and the cold, it was a very nice sleep.

I had no problems at this airport - the ticket counters don't open till the morning, but there are comfortable chairs nearby that you can wait at. Cleaning staff passed through, but there were no issues. As a bonus, this is a typical thing for college students to do (flying out of nearby RPI), so you will likely not be alone in your sojourn!
