We drove up to Chattanooga from north metro Atlanta to take advantage of a good fare to Washington, DC, comparable to an Atlanta fare but without the hassle of Hartsfield. No lines at security. I think the drive from Acworth, GA, is often the same as the drive to Hartsfield, considering traffic. Mechanical problems forced a delay of around four hours, so we stretched out for a nap. Chattanooga is a nice little airport. Was remodled a few years ago. Seats are padded and very comfortable. It is a quiet airport and we napped soundly with no trouble at all from security, cleaning staff, etc. Would recommend finding a corner in the concourse as opposed to the termnial. There is a nice business center that you can enter for 5/day where I could check my email. Decent food and a nice bar in the airport. I don't know if you can sleep in this airport overnight. This is not a busy airport and probably closes down during the night. But it is a fine place to take a nap waiting for a flight."
