What to Expect

Rochester Airport (RST) consists of a small terminal with a restaurant and vending machines. WiFi is available and outlets for charging mobile devices are located throughout the terminal. The airport contains a free mini-library on the airside lower-level gate area, where books can be “borrowed” (and donated). Free digital reading materials are available on a “Books on the Fly” kiosk near the library.  There are no private lounges at this airport.

Sleeping in Rochester Airport

  • The airport is located near the Mayo Clinic.
  • No boarding pass? No problem. Airside access is possible for non-passengers. See an airline ticket agent for a gate pass (you and your belongs must clear security).

ATMs / Cash Machines – Need cash? ATMs are available. Fees may apply, so be sure to check your bank’s fee schedule and your daily withdrawal limit if you are travelling internationally. You may also want to notify your bank of your travel plans. Locations: Landside, in the main lobby.

Currency Exchange – Not available.

Family Services – The airport offers the following services:

  • Baby Care Facilities – A family restroom is available in the lobby area. Diaper changing facilities are available in other restrooms throughout the terminal.
  • Nursing Rooms – Rooms equipped with a bed or a recliner plus a separate washroom area are available both Airside (2 locations) and Landside (1 location). Ask airport or airlines staff for access.

Food & Drinks – Tailwind Concessions is the only dining available. Location: Main Terminal, airside. Hours: 4:00AM to the last flight of the day.

Luggage Storage & Lockers – Not available.

Mini Library & E-Book Kiosk – Bookworms unite! Free books are available in the airport’s mini library. Read one and leave it in the airport, or take it with you, free of charge! You can also donate a few books of your own for your fellow travellers. Location: Lower Level, airside.

Mayo Clinic Information Desk – Mayo Clinic patients arriving into this airport can receive information and assistance in relation to their visit. Business intranet access also available. Location: Main Terminal lobby. Hours: 9:30AM – 6:00PM (Sun-Thurs).

Mobile Charging – Electrical outlets can be found in the main lobby and Airside at the gates. Additionally, a dedicated charging station (for multiple phones/devices) is located Airside.
