"I have been traveling through the Seattle Greyhound station for many years. The terminal itself is a disgrace: rundown and often dirty, and service in the past has been awful. However, there has been an effort over the last couple of years to clean the place up and improve service. There is a great little Vietnamese restaurant in the terminal, which is clean and tasty and reasonably priced: get a vietnamese sandwich to take with you. The station is a short walk to downtown, just head for the tall buildings. There is a major bus and light rail terminal only a couple blocks away. You can find a Subway sandwich place just up the street, and a couple blocks farther on Olive, I think, are a up-scale food court and a movie theatre. Outside the terminal some pretty strange people hang out, but I've never been bothered by them. Inside the terminal is the usual mix of people waiting for the bus. The chairs are not comfortable and there is no place to stretch out, but there are lockers and functional restrooms. No showers. Hotels in this area are expensive, but there is a local hostel (Green Turtle I think). It's not a place where you would choose to spend a lot of time, but the restaurant is the best I've ever encountered in a bus station. "
