  • This is an older, small, single terminal airport that sees about 300,000 passengers per year on a few connections to western and northern Africa, and a couple longer-haul flights to Europe.
  • Renovations began in 2009 but it’s unclear if they are completed.

Conakry Airport Information

In this guide we may refer to locations as "landside" and "airside". Landside is the public area of the terminal located in the non-secure zone, before security. Airside is the secure area of the terminal that you must reach by going through security.

Airport Transportation: Getting To/From The Airport


Travel like a local! A variety of public buses, minibuses, and shared taxis or “collectives” run along the main road just outside of the airport, traveling to the city center, bus stations, and suburbs. Ideal if you are feeling brave, packing light, and traveling on the cheap!

Car Rentals

Several car rental agencies serve the airport. Contact your rental agency of choice for rates and reservations.

Hotel Shuttles

Some local hotels offer shuttle service to and from the airport. Contact your hotel of choice for availability and details.


Taxis are readily available for hire in the ground transportation area of the airport. Taxis are not metered, so you must negotiate your fare before starting your journey. At the time of this December 2017 update, the typical fare between the airport and city center is around 10,000 - 20,000 FG, depending on the time of day.
