What to Expect

Harare Airport (code: HRE) is a mid-sized international airport with dedicated terminals for domestic and international travellers.  There are limited shopping and dining options, all of which close by 10:00PM. A reviewer (April 2017) reported that WiFi is available for a fee at the Harare Airport. Economy class passengers may be able to access the airport’s first class lounge. Sleeping in Harare Airport

In this guide we may refer to locations as “landside” and “airside”. Landside is the public area of the terminal located in the non-secure zone, before security. Pay-per-use, Single Visit Passes & Lounge Memberships

Regardless of what class of service you are flying, there is a lounge that you can enter through a lounge membership program. Visit the individual lounge page for more details about the lounge itself and to also find out how you can gain lounge access with just an economy class ticket!

Taxis

Only flat-rate taxis are readily available for hire in the ground transportation area. However, shared-ride taxis offer an alternative way to reach the airport for much less.
