DPS Airport Overview

To help you plan your layover or overnight sleepover, here is a quick run-down about what to expect during your time at Bali Ngurah Rai International Airport (Code: DPS).

What to Expect

Bali Airport consists of two modern terminals (Domestic and International) that offer plenty of options for dining, shopping and services on both sides of security, including some 24-hour restaurants and convenience stores. WiFi and sporadic mobile device charging outlets can be found in both terminals. Additional comfort can be found through fee-based access to one of the airport’s first-class lounges. See Airport Lounges in the guide below for locations and rates.

Sleeping in Bali Airport

Traveller reviews have generally focused on the International Terminal, as the former Domestic Terminal closed at night. If you have slept in the new Domestic Terminal, please write a review. Travellers generally report good sleeping conditions in the International Terminal, with the staff viewed as friendly and accommodating to overnight sleepers. The terminal is clean, with an assortment of comfortable airside seating (including recliners and armrest-free couches, which can be found in the rest area to the left of the departures entrance) and plenty of quiet nooks conducive to sleeping. Potential sleep hindrances include mosquitos and weak air conditioning that makes for warm and humid waiting times. For uninterrupted sleep, there is a hotel onsite and some other hotels within a quick shuttle ride of the airport. See Airport Hotels in the guide below or read traveller reviews for more tips.

To help us keep this guide up-to-date, you can add or update information or write a review to submit airport tips and photos. You can also visit the airport’s website for current information. For more airport information, continue scrolling down to explore more in our Bali Airport Guide.

In this guide we may refer to locations as “landside” and “airside”. Landside is the public area of the terminal located in the non-secure zone, before security. Airside is the secure area of the terminal that you must reach by going through security.  For more information on Europe’s Schengen Area, click here.
