What to Expect

Mangalore Airport (code: IXE) has a small, recently built terminal that handles domestic and international travel. An older terminal is used only for the annual Hajj pilgrimage. Note that departing passengers must pay a user development fee. There are shopping and dining options, but we are unable to confirm any related details.  Free WiFi helps to pass the time.

Free WiFi is available at Mangalore Airport for 30 minutes in both the Domestic and International Terminals. You may opt to pay for additional time beyond the free 30 minutes.

ATMs / Cash Machines – Need cash? ATMs, operated by Karnataka Bank, are available. Fees may apply, so be sure to check your bank’s fee schedule and your daily withdrawal limit if you are travelling internationally. You may also want to notify your bank of your travel plans. Baby Care Facilities – Feed and care for your baby in privacy and comfort in the Childcare Room. Free access is granted to travelers with babies.

Currency Exchange – Foreign exchange services are available in Departures and Arrivals areas.

Drinking Water – Thirsty? Drinking water facilities are available.

Duty Free & Shopping – Duty-free shopping is available, along with a limited variety of newsstands and gift shops.

Food & Drinks – Food concessions throughout the airport operate with varying schedules. At the time of this update, we are unable to confirm the availability of any 24-hour dining options.

Information Desk – There is a Tourist Counter available that may be of assistance.

Luggage Storage & Lockers – Not available.

Luggage Trolleys – Free to use.

Luggage Wrapping – Protect your bags before your travel by covering them in plastic wrap. Location: Landside, in the Check-in area. Fee: unknown.

Medical Services – Services are available. Location and hours: Unknown.

Mobile Charging – You can power up your phones and small electronics, free of charge, at mobile charging stations located throughout the airport.

Newspaper / Magazines – Free newspapers are available in both Departures and Arrivals areas.

Postal Services – Drop off your last minute postcards at the airport’s Post Office. Location: Departures area.

Prayer Room – Available. Location and hours: unknown.
