Qingdao Airport Information

In this guide we may refer to locations as "landside" and "airside". Landside is the public area of the terminal located in the non-secure zone, before security. Airside is the secure area of the terminal that you must reach by going through security.

Pay-per-use, Single Visit Passes & Lounge Memberships

Regardless of what class of service you are flying, there are lounges that you can enter by purchasing a lounge pass or through a lounge membership program (ie. Priority Pass). Visit the individual lounge page for more details about the lounge itself and to also find out how you can gain lounge access with just an economy class ticket!

More Services, Facilities & Things To Do On A Layover At The Airport

  • ATMs / Cash Machines - Yes. Locations:  Departure Hall, South of Entrance Gate 3 in Terminal Building, 2F •  Opposite the Boarding Gate 14 and 15, Domestic Departure Area, Isolation Area, 2F.
  • Currency Exchange - Available. Location: Airside, South of Gate 3, 1F. Hours: 8:00AM - 10:30PM.
  • Duty Free & Shopping - Duty Free is available and there are several shops including a 7-Eleven which is open from 5:00AM - Last flight.
  • Food & Drinks - There are several restaurants and coffee shops available; however, it does not appear that any are open for 24 hours.
  • Information Desk - Information desks can be found in both the Domestic and International Terminals. Exact locations are unknown.
  • Luggage Storage & Lockers - Yes, available in the Business Center, West of Gate 3, 2F. Hours: 6:30AM - Last Flight. Rates: unknown, but hourly and daily rentals are available as well as lockers and shelf storage.
  • Luggage Wrapping - Available at four locations throughout the airport.
  • Medical Services - A Medical Clinic can be found at Counter A, Domestic Departure Area, 2F.
  • Mobile Charging - There are at least 20 mobile charging stations located in both the Domestic and International Terminals.
  • Rest Zones - Not available.
  • Showers - Not available.

    Airport Transportation: Getting To/From The Airport

    Public Transportation

    The airport is well connected to the public transportation system with at least eight bus connections. Whether you are looking to connect to downtown or looking for a long distance bus, there should be an option for you. For routes, fares and schedules, visit the Qingdao Airport website.


    Taxis are located in the underground parking garage of Terminal 2. Two types of taxis are available; Deluxe taxis which charge 12 YUAN and ordinary taxis which charge 9 YUAN (metered taxis). As of this January 2018 update, a sample fare to Hong Kong Middle Road is 107 RMB (deluxe) or 85 RMB (ordinary).
