What to Expect

The commercial terminal at Surakarta’s Solo Airport (code: SOC) opened in 2009 and handles domestic flights. Amenities include several eateries and shops. More Services, Facilities & Things To Do On A Layover

ATMs / Cash Machines – Need cash? ATMs are available. Fees may apply, so check your bank’s fee schedule and daily withdrawal limit if you are travelling internationally. You may also want to notify your bank of your travel plans. Locations: Landside and are accessible 24 hours a day.

Children’s Play Area – When you want to ensure your kids burn off all their energy before their flight, take them to the children’s play area. Location: Airside, 3rd Floor.

Currency Exchange – Location: Landside, Moneycorp bureau de change, Main concourse, next to WHSmith. Hours: 5:00 AM – 7:00 PM (Mon-Sat); 6:30 AM – 7:00 PM (Sun).

Duty-Free & Shopping – Duty-Free is available, as well as a WH Smith.  Shops open at 5:00 AM except Sundays, when they open at 6:00 AM.

Food & Drink – At the time of writing, no 24-hour options are available. Several dining options are available, both landside and airside.

Luggage Carts – Trolleys are available in baggage claim.

Luggage Storage & Lockers – Visit the Swissport Desk for assistance. Rates: £6.00/bag/day.

Luggage Wrapping – Protect your bags from theft and damage by having them wrapped in plastic. Location: Level 1 of the domestic terminal.

Medical Services – First aid services are available if you feel unwell or injured yourself. Location: Landside on the 1st Floor.

Prayer Rooms – Rooms are available on each floor of the airport.

Showers – Not available.

Smoking Areas – There are designated smoking areas Airside on the 1st and 3rd floors.

Spa – Family Reflexology offers massage/reflexology services at the airport (Airside). Rate: IDR 90K for 30 minutes. Landside, Seger Buger offers traditional Thai massages.

Airport Transportation: Getting To/From The Airport

Bus

A Transarbagita public bus connects the airport to the city. The bus operates from 7:00 AM – 7:00 PM. Further information is unavailable at this time.

Prepaid taxis are readily available for hire in the ground transportation area. Stop at the ticket booth in the Arrivals hall to pay for your ride. You will receive a ticket to give to your taxi driver before boarding.
