Airport Overview

To help you plan your layover or overnight sleepover, we are here to give you the low-down on what travellers have reported back to us during their time at Belem Airport.

What to Expect

  • A small, modern single-terminal international airport with clean facilities and pleasant atmosphere.
LOTS of 24-hour shopping and dining options!
  • Drinking water from springs, pleasant temperature in the terminal and peace and quiet at night.
  • WiFi is available. See WiFi in the airport guide below.

Where to Sleep

  • Airport seating consists of two-seater metal benches or lightly padded individual chairs with armrests, not exactly comfortable for sleeping on. Have a travel mattress or sleeping bag handy, and head up to the quieter upper level as suggested by some of our reviewers.
  • For uninterrupted sleep, there are sleep rooms inside the airport and nearby hotels. See Airport Hotels in the airport guide below.

Good to Know

  • According to one reviewer, the airport’s restaurants are very expensive. If you feel safe leaving the airport, there is a village with cheap restaurants and beer about ¾ mile away, as you head towards the main road.
