What to Expect

Bridgetown Grantley Adams International Airport consists of two terminals that have been joined via a “membrane tent", making it appear as one single building. The terminals contain 22 gates and almost two dozen eateries and shops split between the airside and landside. WiFi is available, and additional comfort can be found through fee-based access to the airport’s first class lounges. See Airport Lounges in the airport guide below for locations and rates.

Bridgetown Airport Information

In this guide we may refer to locations as "landside" and "airside". Landside is the public area of the terminal located in the non-secure zone, before security. Airside is the secure area of the terminal that you must reach by going through security.

Pay-per-use, Single Visit Passes & Lounge Memberships

Regardless of what class of service you are flying, there is a lounge that you can enter by purchasing a lounge pass or through a lounge membership program (ie. Priority Pass). Visit the individual lounge page for more details about the lounge itself and to also find out how you can gain lounge access with just an economy class ticket!

  • Airlines Executive Lounge - Location: Terminal 1, airside, between gates 12 and 13. Lounge Access: Prepaid lounge passes  •  Lounge membership programs. [ more lounge info ] passes are available
  • Club Caribbean Executive Lounge - Location: Terminal 1, Landside, between Air Canada and American Airlines counters. Showers are available.

More Services, Facilities & Things To Do On A Layover At The Airport

  • ATMs / Cash Machines - Need cash? ATMs are available. Barbadian dollars are dispensed. Fees may apply, so be sure to check your bank’s fee schedule and your daily withdrawal limit if you are travelling internationally. You may also want to notify your bank of your travel plans. Locations: Landside, Departures terminal • Airside, Retail shopping mall.

  • Currency Exchange - Services are provided at two locations: Departures (Hours: 5:00AM - 9:00PM daily) • Arrivals (Hours: 6:30AM - 9:30PM daily). Both locations are open from 1:30PM on Christmas Day.
  • Duty Free & Shopping - Duty-free shopping is available in landside and airside areas of the Departures and Arrivals terminals. In addition, there is a small selection of shops to choose from including a Sea Shell Convenience Store which may come handy for any last minute needs.
  • Food & Dining - Food concessions throughout the airport operate with varying schedules. At the time of this update, we are unable to confirm if there are any 24-hour dining options. Current selection includes: Banks Bar ▪ Chefette Restaurant ▪ Christophe’s Cafe ▪ Cream ▪ Gate Zero Bar ▪ Good Eats ▪ Grab ‘N Go ▪ Island Grill
  • Information Desk - There is an information desk located in both Departures and Arrivals terminals.
  • Luggage Storage & Lockers - Not available.
  • Medical Services - Contact a member of the airport staff if you require medical assistant. There is an Ambulance center available between 6:00AM - 10:00PM.
  • Mobile Charging - At the time of this update, we did not have any information about mobile charging availability. If you know, write a review or email us at guides@sleepinginairports.com.
  • Pharmacy
  • Post Office - Location: Landside, Departures Terminal. Hours: 8:00AM - 3:00PM (Mondays) • 8:00AM - 3:15PM (Tuesday - Friday).
  • Rest Zones - Not available.

  • Spa - Soothing Touch Da Spa offers massage and other day spa services onsite.

Airport Transportation: Getting To/From The Airport

Car Rentals

Courtesy Rent-A-Car, Drive-a-matic and Stoute’s Car Rental have offices onsite.

City Bus

Travel between the airport and destinations around the island by taking a local bus, which stops outside of the airport terminal. Buses depart hourly and at the time of this January 2018 update, the fare is BDS$2.00. Visit the tourist information desk to plan your route.

Taxis

Authorized taxis are readily available at the airport. Be sure to ask for a receipt.
