Airport Overview

To help you plan your layover or overnight sleepover, we are here to give you the low-down on what travellers have reported back to us during their time at Havana Airport.

What to Expect

  • A newly-renovated international airport with five terminals and a limited selection of shops and restaurants.
  • Be prepared for this airport to “nickel and dime” you. According to reviewers, the airport’s shops and food concessions are said to be expensive and the toilets are pay-per-use!
  • WiFi is available. See WiFi in the airport guide below.
  • Speaking of shops and restaurants, most of them are located in Terminal 3.

Where to Sleep

  • Although none of our reviewers suggested a specific place to sleep, the airport overall was regarded as safe and fairly quiet at night, but VERY cold from the air-conditioning. Have a travel mattress or sleeping bag handy for added comfort, or at the very least have a travel blanket handy to keep warm. A sleep mask may help block out the airport’s bright lights to help you sleep a little better.
  • For uninterrupted sleep, there are hotels near the airport. See Airport Hotels in the airport guide below.

Good to Know

  • Economy class passengers can pay to use the first class lounges. See Airport Lounges in the airport guide below for locations and rates.
