Santa Marta Airport Information

In this guide we may refer to locations as "landside" and "airside". Landside is the public area of the terminal located in the non-secure zone, before security. Airside is the secure area of the terminal that you must reach by going through security.

Airport WiFi / Internet

Free WiFi is available at Santa Marta Airport. Connect to “wifiaeropuerto” and enter the same as the password. Internet browsing facilities can also be found at Gates 15 and 22 in the International Terminal.

  • Baby Care Facilities - Yes, Domestic Terminal, Transit Area by Door 1 and 8
  • Currency Exchange - Yes, Italcambio offers 5 locations in the International Terminal (both landside and airside) and 1 location in the Domestic Terminal (landside). Hours: 5:00AM - 10:00PM.
  • Duty Free & Shopping - At the time of this update, no duty free shops are available at this airport but there is a great variety shops both in the domestic and international terminals.
  • Food & Drinks - Arepa Grill, in the international terminal, is open 24 hours. Most food concessions at the domestic terminal operate from 5:00AM to 9:00PM and at the international terminal from 5:00AM to 10:00PM.
  • Information Desk - Information desks are available in the international terminal (arrivals hall).
  • Luggage Storage & Lockers - Not available.
  • Medical Services - The following locations are open 24 hours a day - Transit Area, Door 3 of Domestic Terminal • Transit Area, Gate 22, International Terminal.
  • Mobile Charging - Chargers can be found in all waiting areas of both Terminals.
  • Pharmacy - Yes, located in transit area near door 2. Hours: 6:00AM - 9:00PM
  • Post Office - IPostel provides mailing services in the following locations: international terminal, landside, across from the escalators; domestic terminal, west wing, landside. Hours: 8:00AM - 12:00PM and 1:00PM - 4:30PM.
  • Prayer Room - Yes, open 24 hours, International Terminal, landside, Level 3, West Wing.

  • Shopping - There are many shops to choose from in both Terminals.

Airport Transportation: Getting To/From The Airport

Taxis are readily available for hire in the ground transportation area of the airport. There are no meters, so negotiate a fare with the driver before starting your journey.
